Dr. Shantikumar V. Nair, Dean of Research, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham and Director,Amrita Centre for Nanosciences and Molecular Medicine, was felicitated by Shri Y. S. Chowdary, the Honourable Minister of State, Ministry of Science and Technology & Earth Sciences, for being a contributing member of Advisory Committee on Technology Vision 2035 for Medical Sciences & Healthcare, spearheaded by TIFAC (Technology Information, Forecasting and Assessment Council), Govt. of India.
TIFAC in association with Indian Development Foundation (IDF) and Oakridge International School, Hyderabad, organized the two-day national conference on Technology Vision 2035 on 29th and 30th September 2016. TIFAC, an autonomous body under the Department of Science & Technology, Govt. of India and the technology Think Tank of India, projects trajectory and trends of technology and the recent document released by the Prime Minister, and captures the technological state of India and Indians for the year 2035.
The conference focused on medical and healthcare, quality education, information communication and technology (ICT), as well as safety and mobility. It saw participation from educationists, entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, industries, associations, state govt. officials, S&T council, research institutes, NGOs, policy makers, and students.
