The Department of Mathematics, School of Arts and Sciences, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri, organised a Workshop on “A Complete Outline of a Course on Linear Algebra” on September 19, 2018.

Dr. V. Krishna Kumar, Visiting Professor, Kerala School of Mathematics, Calicut conducted the sessions. The workshop focused on Diagonalization. A comprehensive review of the diagonalization linear transformations on finite dimensional vector spaces, starting from scratch was discussed. These topics would amount to doing the Spectral Theorem for the linear transformations on finite dimensional vector spaces without introducing the concept of inner products.

The program commenced at 9:00 a.m. and had 3 sessions of 90 minutes each on the day. Around 50 participants participated in the workshop.
