With the blessings of our beloved Amma, the NSS special camp of NSS Unit 6 of ASA was organized at Arasampalayam village from 21.03.2022 to 25.03.2022. Principal, Dr. SudheeshManalil delivered the inaugural address and inaugurated the NSS special camp. During the inaugural programme,a special address was delivered by Campus Director, Dr. N. Udaya Shankar. Dr. D. Venkataraman, NSS Programme Coordinator, Mrs. B. Revathi, Head Master, Government High School (GHS), Arasampalayam and Mr. M. Venkatachalam, Assistant Head Master, GHS. As part of the programme, students were engaged in various social activities related to agriculture such as parthenium eradication, kitchen garden preparation and survey on agricultural problems among farmers.
On behalf of the NSS unit of ASA, two computers, buckets, mugs were gifted to the GHS for the benefit of students and two portable dust bins were contributed to Arasampalayam village.At the end of the NSS camp, the valedictory function was conducted on 25.03.2022. During the session,Dr. SudheeshManalil, Principal, ASA,delivered the valedictory address of the NSS special camp and appreciated the NSS student volunteers for their active participation in this camp and alsodistributed 68 notebooks to students of Government Primary School, Arasampalayam. Followed by, Dr. N. UdayaShankar, Campus Director, ASA,Dr. D. Venkataraman, NSS Programme Coordinator, Mr. M. Venkatachalam, Assistant Head Master, GHS, Mr. Ilavarasan, Teacher of GHS,delivered the special address and motivated the students.The dignitaries in the forum distributed the prizes for the winners of various events conducted for school students and also distributed the NSS special camp certificates to NSS student volunteers.
Dr. K. Murugasridevi, NSS programme officer, ASA, coordinated the NSS special camp well with the assistance of members of faculty.This NSS special camp imparted a great experience for the students inthe village and inculcated them with a soulful service mind.Totally, 67 students from the 2020 batch actively participated in the NSS special camp.
