In a major development in the arena of collaborative interactions between upcoming Universities in India and current global leaders in the academic sphere, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham and its constituent School of Biotechnology recently achieved a high profile and wide ranging collaboration with the University of Oxford, U.K.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed by the Chancellor Master and Scholars of the University of Oxford acting for its Kennedy Institute of Rheumatology and by Dr. Bipin Nair, the Dean of Amrita School of Biotechnology, for Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham on January 12th, 2015. The MOU encompasses the development of collaborations to facilitate exchange of staff and students, as well as sharing relevant non-confidential publications, joint research programmes and opportunities to work together for mutual benefit in academic and research activities.
