Umadethan, Chairman, Organ Transplant, Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences; Dr. Praveen Varma, Professor and Head of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery, Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences; Dr. Neeraj Sidharthan, Associate Professor, Stem Cell Transplant Unit, Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences; Dr. Anil Radhakrishnan, Consultant, Cornea & Refractive Surgery, Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences; Dr. Sanjeevan K. V., Professor of Urology and Renal Transplantation, Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences; Dr. Noble Gracious, the Nodal Officer of Kerala Network for Organ Sharing (KNOS), Dr. Selva Titus Chacko, Dean, College of Nursing, CMC, Vellore and other experts took part and discussed the recent trends in organ donation and transplantation.
The organ recipients and the family members of the donors were also a part of the public event organized in connection with the conference. Shri. Hibi Eden, MLA was the Chief Guest. Dr. Prem Nair, Medical Director, Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences presided over the function and Dr. K Sankaran, Registrar, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham addressed the gathering. There were presentations of the research studies conducted in connection with the conference.
The book titled “Professional Nursing – Questions Authentically Answered” authored by Prof. K. T. Moly, Principal, Amrita College of Nursing, was also released in the function.
