Associated with the faculty of Engineering, Amrita Mind Brain Center offer a Neural Engineering Ph.D degree is a one-of-its-kind program that typically integrates neuroscience, engineering, neurology, medicine and computational sciences to explore and develop novel methods and technologies for tackling brain disorders and to develop new advancements in technologies for health. This interdisciplinary field aims to decode the complexities of the brain and nervous system, leading to advancements in areas such as brain-computer interfaces, neural prosthetics, neuroimaging techniques, and computational neuroscience. Students in a Neural Engineering PhD program engage in a combination of coursework, laboratory research, and collaborative projects. Topics like neural signal processing, neural network dynamics, neural modelling, and neurotechnology development are some of the key focuses. Additionally, an interdisciplinary approach, collaborating with experts from fields such as electronics engineering, computer science, biology, and medicine.
