Abstract : A laboratory experiment was carried out at paddy Breeding station, glass house in Tamilnadu Agricultural university, Coimbatore to evaluate the LD50 values of Endosulfan, Pymetrozine, Thiamethoxam and Cyantraniliprole by topical application of whitebacked plant hopper in rice was 7.343, 3.950,2.643 and 0.1184 ppm respectively of 48 hours after treatment. Similarly the LD50 values of Endosulfan and Cyantraniliprole by topical application method was 7.746 and 0.190 ppm for C. lividipennis at 48 Hours after treatment to whitebacked plant hopper. It was found that all the treatments were found to be toxic to C. lividipennis and S. furcifera.
