About the workshop

 

Theme: Deep Learning and spectral processing in CVIP

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Amrita School of Engineering, Coimbatore, is organizing the workshop on Computer Vision and Image processing techniques, NWCVIPT 2017, from March 30, 31 and April 1, 2017. This is the seventh edition in this series. The primary focus of the workshop is to serve as a platform for the convergence of cutting edge areas of fundamental research areas such as quantum inspired approaches, bioinspired computing and deep learning models to design innovative solutions in real world scenario. The workshop aims to identify the key domains in the above field areas and provide promising frameworks for solving challenges in real world scenarios such as Industrial applications, Medical Analysis, Information Security, Text Processing, etc. The analysis and applicability of Deep Learning for Image and Video processing has gained prominence in the recent years. More than 1000 participants have attended and benefited from this workshop in the past six years.

objectives

The objective of this workshop is to explore the concepts and applications of spectral approaches, deep learning with emphasis on Image/Video Processing; to provide hands-on training on CVIP and deep learning tools; to create a community of researchers working in areas related to CVIP and DL; to develop algorithms and create innovative products that are socially relevant.
