Abstract : Smart, intuitive and efficient transportation system is crucial for smart cities. A smart solution to transform the existing public transportation infrastructure is proposed here. Internet of Things (IoT) based hardware modules needed for implementation are discussed. Dijkstra's algorithm for shortest path has been modified to incorporate traffic conditions and additional features. The proposed algorithm is evaluated for various scenarios and results are presented.
