Abstract : Vehicle-to-Vehicle communication is a latest and emerging technology that helps nearby moving vehicles to communicate to each other. There isn't any existing two wheelers that collect different vehicular parameter as sensor values from Electronic/Engine Control Units and communicate it wirelessly to nearby vehicles. The paper focuses on the design and development of V2V communication system that will collect vehicle related data and transmit it over Wi-Fi to the vehicles in its vicinity. The system includes sensor data collection ECUs communicating a vehicle's data to a Vehicle to Infrastructure ECU using Controller Area Network and V2I ECU enabling V2V communication using Wi-Fi modem. Implementation of the system is done using Arduino, GPS sensor, LM393 speed sensor module, CAN communication module and a Wi-Fi modem. The proposed system can help in Advanced Driver Assistance System by aiding in collision avoidance, lane change warning, navigation assist, electronic payment, traffic updates etc.
