Abstract : Barium Titanate (BaTiO3)-Polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) composite is used to realise a flexible substrate for a microstrip fed monopole antenna. The antenna radiation and reflection characteristics are studied. The monopole parameters and ground plane are analysed for the best performance of the antenna. The antenna optimized by simulation is validated by measurement. The antenna is found to be an effective radiator and can be used for different wireless communication applications.
