Since 2010, we have been collaborating with SPIC MACAY, the Society for the Promotion of Indian Classical Music and Culture Amongst Youth. It is a voluntary youth movement which fosters the traditional Indian values and generates awareness of the cultural traditions and heritage of India by organizing events of Indian classical music, classical dance, folk arts, crafts, etc. in educational institutions. We and SPIC MACAY share the same vision that, the awareness of the rich cultural tapestry is an important part of education.
Throughout the past few years, we have been successfully conducting a series of concerts and performances by professional artist volunteers from SPIC MACAY, who enrich student’s knowledge by explaining the subtle technicalities enshrined in the arts during and after their performances at Amritapuri campus.
Many students express that it is their first time of attending such Indian classical art performances and being able to understand the deeper traditional and cultural meanings behind. They enjoy a lot with great appreciation.
