The festivity began in the early morning with Nagara Sankeerthanam where students and faculty took an idol of the Krishna across the campus singing His glory. Around 9.00 A.M. the Procession of richly decorated Floats from each department of the campus, screening various messages and sights from Krishna Avatar, began. Little girls and boys dressed as Krishnas and Gopikas walked beside the floats and a group of students singing and dancing accompanied them. In the afternoon, Uriyadi and Vadamvali (tug of war) rituals were performed. The students also participated in various competitions based on the theme of Sri Krishna such as dance, music, skit, quiz, elocution, essaywriting, painting and Rangoli.
