Department of Civil Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, in collaboration with L&T EduTech is leading the way in offering B. Tech in Civil Engineering to aspiring students who will benefit from the experiential learning co-taught by the University and L&T experts. The innovative curriculum integrates the specialized industry course stacks taught by experienced industry experts. Through this collaboration, L&T EduTech will offer industry-led application-oriented courses to Civil Engineering students of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham. Further, this collaboration will ensure that Civil Engineering students of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham are globally employable and industry-ready at the time of graduation. The courses will smoothen the transition from academic knowledge to hands-on industrial experience. This partnership will immensely help the students in gaining real-world industry experience and expose them to industry standards and best practices through multiple internships.
“My experience in Amrita was both valuable and exciting. One could never miss the scenic beauty of the campus (Ettimadai campus) and the weather of Coimbatore. The serine environment that I have experienced in the vast campus and its facilities is uncommon. I joined the college, like many others, with a fear of survival mainly because of two reasons. One being the kind of my school education which didn’t encourage much of understanding the concepts and the other reason being the department (Civil) which is pretty new and not having a history attached. Having said that, Amrita proved me wrong in my fears. I transformed into a totally different person after passing out of Amrita. 2012-2016 – 4 years of engineering, a time that I will cherish throughout my life. The experience at Amrita was so fulfilling and rich, thanks to all the faculty and friends. The first thing that comes to any of our minds about the college are the beautiful lush green surroundings and the majestic mountains all around the place. These were so beautiful especially when looked from our classes. The faculty helped us throughout our journey guiding us through the best possible path, and I wouldn’t be exaggerating if I told that majority of my success today is solely because of my mentors there. They helped me to build the perfect platform to grow. The place also gave me the best of friends and memories.

Amrita ,a home away from home .A place filled with infinite opportunities and learning experiences, where “brothers and sisters” – students and “parents”- teachers added flavors to 4 years of my college life . The teacher-student relationship was more like friendship, guiding us not only in career growth but self development as well. It all started and ended the same way. Six years ago, I entered Amrita fulfilling my parent’s dream. But I was not happy about it because I didn’t want to leave home. The whole journey from home to Amrita, I cried, for my own small world is not going to be the same. But Amrita had other plans for me. It gave me people who cared for me as if I was family. It taught me to dream and gave me opportunities to achieve them. The pleasant view of campus and disciplined rules of the campus gave me a good environment to achieve bigger goals. Amrita, you should not only be proud of yourself for taking in the best intellectual minds of the country but for also making them better human beings. Today, I m working as a software developer in (I-exceed technology solutions) Bangalore, which is just because of the knowledge given by my faculties and my department. The naive small-town girl is now an independent, matured and a confident woman. Insti, how can I thank you enough for giving me these wonderful people in my life. I will be forever grateful for the feeling you gave my parents on convocation. I bid adieu to you temporarily but you were and will always be my home and I will come running to you even if I get the slightest chance.

Life in Amrita, Coimbatore was really a memorable part of my life. The whole atmosphere gave me a positive energy be it for studies or any other extra curricular activities. Faculties were very supportive and competent. I still get that positive vibe whenever I go there after the course. It also gave me a lot of good friends for lifetime making it cherishable.
