Department of Management and Commerce organised a one day webinar on IPR on June 20, 2020 from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham – Mysuru campus. Dr TTM. Kannan and Dr. Bakrudeen Ali Ahmed, associate professors from PRIST University Tamil Nadu were resource persons for webinar on IPR; the main aim of the webinar was to spread IPR awareness among the Faculty members, Research scholars, students and start-ups. Resource persons were intended to cover various forms of IPR like Patents, Copyrights, and Trademarks, but majorly focused on significance of patents and its procedures It will cover the basic aspects of patenting and the economic significance of creating and providing legal safeguard to novel ideas, innovations etc.
Over 60 people took part in the webinar to learn process of patent filling & procedures. Many attendees asked their questions to file their inventions and few mentioned key challenges to file their inventions. Perhaps, resource persons addressed all questions during this two-hour session.
