Summary of the event:
Webinar on – “Role of Computer and IT Professionals in Industry 4.0” was conducted on 05th September 2020 at 4 PM on online platform – Microsoft Teams by the Department of Computer Science, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Mysuru Campus for UG students. 185 participants attended the webinar.
The resource Person – Dr. Anantha Narayanan V, Assistant Professor, Computer science and Engineering, Coimbatore campus gave talk on Role of computer and IT Professionals in Industry 4.0.
He began the session by providing brief information on the Internet of Things and its insight into the future. Explained sensors and connectivity in detail along with hardware components such as Arduino, NodeMCU, etc., and briefly explained the domains where IoT is used. He practically demonstrated the control of the water level using a different level sensor. In addition, he explained further practical demonstrations using the MQTT. He also gave an idea of cognitive intelligence in robotics and the importance of cognitive learning for the industrial robotics system. He concluded the session by providing a link to IoT projects as a reference for student.

Outcome: Students got the idea of Hardware IoT project with real time examples and demonstrations.
