Bio

Having a background of Archaeology, Sanskrit and Museology, Dr Tanashree is working on the rituals of Goddess Jyeṣṭhā from the sociological, historical and anthropological point of view to get into the complexities of the ritual and the possible reasons behind it. Her extensive ethnographic fieldwork in the various parts of Maharashtra has given her good insight into understanding the various layers of cultural beliefs and their possible reasons supporting the textual and historical dynamics of rituals.
