About the Conference
This will be a three-day Conference on Numerical Methods and Applications. This conference is intended for the participants who aspire to excel in aforementioned fields. The goal of this conference is to bring top researchers in this area to Amrita School of Engineering, Coimbatore to foster collaboration and to expose scholars to important problems in the growing field. The meeting will stimulate joint work among researchers both in India and abroad. It provides an opportunity to explore the recent challenges and developments in the area of Numerical Analysis and its Applications.
About Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham
Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, accredited with ‘A’ Grade by NAAC, celebrates the second decade of service to the society and humanity. Under the inspiring and motivating leadership of the Divine Mother Mata Amritanandamayi Devi as chancellor, Amrita is marching forward towards higher goals and accomplishments and scaling great heights of excellence. Amrita was conferred the status of a Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham under “Section 3 of UGC Act 1956” by the Government of India in 2003. Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham is spread over five campuses at Amritapuri, Bengaluru, Coimbatore, Kochi and Mysore in three different states. Amrita offers over 200 undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programs in twenty disciplines including Engineering, Management and Medicine.
Amrita has also bagged or filed fifty major patents and inventions in the past few years. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed in 2005 with various US universities, some of which are ranked among the best universities in the world and has active tie‐ups and collaborations with over 75 universities in USA, Europe, Australia, Japan etc. All these have made Amrita one of the most sought after university by top ranking students from all parts of the country and abroad.
The conference will be held at the Coimbatore Campus of the Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham which is located in a serene village on the foothills of Western Ghats at Amritanagar, Ettimadai, that is, 20km away from Coimbatore.
About the Department
The Department of Mathematics, School of Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore, has been vigorously engaged in both research and teaching. The department has at present 32 dedicated faculty members, allwith Ph.D.,who actively involved in research in the areas like, Numerical Analysis, Functional Analysis, Differential Equations, Fractal Theory, Fluid Mechanics, Six sigma, Optimization, Data Science, Fuzzy Optimization, Statistical Quality control, Regression Analysis, Machine learning, Reinforced learning, and Bio‐ Statistics, Lie Groups, Graph Theory and Cryptography. The Department has to its credit a good number of research papers published in refereed International and National Journals. The department has a number of funded Projects in various fields of Mathematics and are being carried out for various national agencies. The Department has organized several International andNational Conferences and workshops in emerging fields.The department offers the Ph. D. Program, Integrated M. Sc. and M. Sc. Programs in Mathematics, Data Science and Applied Statistics.
