Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham and the University at Buffalo (UB), State University of New York extended their decade-long partnership by signing a new Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to further expand and deepen their collaboration. The MoU was signed by Dr. Satish Tripathi, President of University at Buffalo, and Dr. Venkat Rangan, Vice-Chancellor of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, at the Coimbatore campus of Amrita on October 29th, 2015.
Adinarayanan V., Assistant Professor and Coordinator, Department of Cultural Education, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore has combained the ancient Indian system of yoga and stories from Mahabharatha and modern cognitive and behavioral sciences to successfully enhance the attitude of students towards learning.

An HR Round Table on “Role of HR in Organizational Transformation” was organized by Amrita School of Business (ASB), Coimbatore at Sri Krishna Hall in the campus on 10th October 2015. The session was conducted in association with the launch of new HR Club in the campus.
In the first colloquium of this trimester, Dr. Martin D. Schoenhals, a cultural anthropology Professor at Columbia University, guided ASB Coimbatore students on approaching Live-in-Labs (LILA), the flagship theory-into-practice program of the college.
MBA students of Amrita School of Business (ASB), Coimbatore interacted with Prof. V. G. Narayanan, Harvard Business School, in a session held at Sri Krishna Hall in the campus on 6th October 2015. Prof. Narayanan addressed the students through online video conference.
In the International KAKENHI Workshop on Long-term Growth of Firms and Corporate Governance, organized by Chuo Univerisity and Musashi University in collaboration with Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research (IGIDR)- Mumbai from September 2-3, 2015, Dr. Sangeetha Gunasekar, Assistant Professor, Amrita School of Business, Coimbatore along with Ms. K. G. Sofi Dinesh, Faculty Associate, Amrita School of Business, Amritapuri presented a paper titled ‘Impact of board independence on the performance of listed Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) in India’.
Dr. P. Balasubramanian, Associate Professor, Amrita School of Business (ASB), Coimbatore presented a paper on ‘Sunk Cost Fallacy– Effect of Situational Knowledge on Irrational Choices’ at Singapore Economic Review conference (SERC) 2015 from August 5th-7th.
An Amrita research paper titled, Recommending Customizable Products: A Multiple Choice Knapsack Solution, was presented at the 5th International Conference on Web Intelligence, Mining & Semantics (WIMS ’15), Limassol, Cyprus from July 13-14, 2015.
