Swami Shantamrita Chaitanya of Mata Amritanandamayi Math addressed the students and faculty of Amritapuri campus on February 5, 2016. His talk was titled “Scientific Revolutions – Inner Revolutions.” The event was hosted by Amrita Center for Cybersecurity Systems and Networks.
The Dravyamritam 2016 Haritakam was celebrated at Amrita school of Ayurveda on 23rd January 2016. This program was organised by the department of of Dravyaguna Vignana along with PG and UG students.
Neha Kumari, a graduate of the department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Amrita School of Engineering, Amritapuri campus,won first place at the 2015 KTH Masters Challenge India competition in the field of Electric Power Engineering. Neha competed against applicants from the IITs, NITs, and other highly ranked universities throughout India and was the only female finalist in the entire competition. As the first place winner, Neha secured a fully funded scholarship for a two year masters degree at the internationally reputed KTH-Royal Institute of Technology (Sweden) sponsored by ABB worth Rs. 23 lakhs, a living allowance sponsored by ABB worth Rs. 12 lakhs, and an opportunity to do a summer internship at ABB in Stockholm, Sweden.
Ms. Jayaleskhmi H., Vidhya Prakash and Suja Subhash represented Amrita School of Biotechnology and presented posters at the International Conference on New Horizons in Biotechnology 2015 (NHBT-2015) during November 22-25, 2015 in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.
Prof. T. S. Keshava Prasad gave an extensive talk on “Proteomics and Proteogenomic Approaches to Investigate Human Diseases” at Amrita School of Biotechnology on 3rd February, 2016
Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham has had partnered with The India-Canada Centre for Innovative Multidisciplinary Partnerships to Accelerate Community Transformation and Sustainability (IC-IMPACTS) to develop and implement community-based solutions to meet the most urgent needs of Canada and India: poor water quality, unsafe and unsustainable infrastructure, and poor health from waterbornewater-borne and infectious diseases. The collaboration is to develop and test local solutions that can be scaled up across India and Canada.

Subhalakshmi K., Research Associate of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham’s Cell Biology lab from the Amrita School of Biotechnology, participated and presented a poster at the International Conference on Cardiovascular Translational Research and the 13th Annual Conference of the International Society for Heart Research (ISHR) (Indian Section).
