The Graduation Ceremony of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri campus, was held on August 31, 2018, in the Main Hall of Mata Amritanandamayi Math, Amritapuri.
Dr. Arya Devi and Dr. Rekha P., of Amrita Center for Wireless Networks and Applications (AmritaWNA), were awarded Ph. D. Degrees at the 15th graduation ceremony of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri campus, held on August 31, 2018, at the main hall of Mata Amritanandamayi Math, Amritapuri.
The final year students from the Humanitarian Technology (HuT) Labs, Department of Electronics and Computer Engineering (ECE), School of Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri campus, won First Prize and Sponsors’ Best Prize at RoboCon 2018. RoboCon18 is an international robotic design contest, and was held at Tokyo Institute of Technology, Tokyo, Japan, from August 6-18, 2018.
Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham announced the graduation ceremony details. The events will include awarding PhD, PG and UG degrees of all programs offered at its various campuses.
Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, in collaboration with University of Groningen and University of Maryland, conducted a Summer School on Research Methodology and ‘R’ which took place over seven days from August 20-26, 2018, with researchers from Ammachi Labs, the Center for Women’s Empowerment and Gender Equality.
In view of unabated heavy rains and floods in Kerala from late July-August 2018, the Chancellor of the Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Sri Mata Amritanandamayi Devi (Amma), has announced that Her organization Mata Amritanandamayi Math (MAM) will donate Rs. 10 crores to the Kerala Chief Minister’s Distress Relief Fund (CMDRF).
Amrita Center for Research in Analytics & Technologies for Education (AmritaCREATE), Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, organised a workshop on Online Labs, an educational initiative pioneered by AmritaCREATE, in partnership with Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) and funded by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology.
Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham students were selected to participate in the European Mars Rover Challenge (ERC), one of the biggest international space and robotics event in the world. The competition will take place in Starachowice, Poland from September 14-16, 2018.
C. Rahul Krishnan, third-year B Com. student of the department of Commerce and Manangement, School of Arts and Sciences, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri campus, signed a three-year contract with F. C. Kerala, an Indian professional association football club based in Kerala, as Goal Keeper.
