Abstract : Likelihood Over Likelihood Adaptive Neural System (LOLANS) is a modeling field theory based pattern recognition system. Usually Bayesian probability based systems work on basis of maximum likelihood principle for classification. However such systems do get into situations where the data to be classified has values of similar probability and at these points they get into a ‘confusion-situation’. This problem is overcome by the new system. LOLANS takes probability of event for the maximum probability event for sub-classifying useful patterns to be recognized. In this paper I present the working methodology of my system, the LOLANS.
