Abstract : In today's busy world, time has a major role in everyone's life. Along with time, scheduling our works is also an important task. This paper focuses on the implementation of digital alarm clock, which can also display an external text. This is very helpful as the text, which is given as input by the user is displayed along with an alarm which helps in reminding the work to be done. Novelty of the idea is that the idea can be extended to any applications such as microwave ovens and have major applications in regulating the renewable resource power management and is newly adapted in medical fields. 1 The work is a subsystem for an intelligent health care product. The clock comes with an external alphanumeric keypad to give the time and text input. Other components used are LCD display, DS1307 RTC timer and alarm (buzzer).
