Abstract : This paper presents the active power flow control in the transmission line by use of voltage source inverter in closed loop. A two transmission line model is built in the MATLAB Simulink software and the active power flow in one of the line is controlled by injection of voltage into the transmission line through an isolation transformer from the voltage source inverter. A unipolar pulse width modulation technique is used to generate the PWM pulses to the voltage source inverter. The phase angle of the reference sinusoidal signal is controlled to control the angle at which voltage is injected into the line so that desired active power flow is achieved. © 2018 IEEE.
