Abstract : In this paper, Metamaterials based microstrip filter is presented. Two configurations - Open Loop Resonator (OLR) filter and Split Ring Resonator (SRR) is used to design a band pass filter. Resonators are energized using direct coupling and the effect of the geometrical parameters on the filter characteristics are analyzed in detail. The proposed filter is a potential candidate for filter antenna applications. © 2016 IEEE.
