Abstract : The paper presented analysis the effect of direct coupling on metamaterial based resonators. Split ring resonator (SRR) and Open loop resonator (OLR) offering band stop characteristics are studied using Keysight ADS. The resonator parameters are optimized for performance a 2.45 GHz Wi-Fi band enabling it for Wireless communication applications. The paper also furnishes design equations for the proposed filters.
