Abstract : Over the past several decades, data mining techniques which used to solve crime detection and prevention stored in many sources to find crime pattern trends and suspect predictions. Day by day range of crimes is increasing speedily, to cut back it we tend to build use of Association Rule techniques that helps crimes to decrease constantly. The Government plays an important role where it needs to take quick actions and decide the matter amicably. To overcome the crimes, there is no proper tool for analysis. This paper provides the perception about crime trends and suspect prediction. In order to predict suspects, depending on the type of crimes, there are many kinds of constraints. For example consider chain snatching, we take into account the constraints like location, time, criminal height, appearance, type of vehicle, weapon used, color etc. Thus, the paper provides insight about the techniques used for crime trends and suspect prediction for crime trends and suspect prediction.
