Abstract : Telemedicine technologies offer an efficient form of healthcare delivery system for patients and supplements the other health care systems that already existing in the real world. This paper introduces a new and effective routing protocol that is, the LATR (Location Aware Telemedicine Routing) protocol which can be used in VANETs (Vehicular Ad-Hoc Network) to control and transfer the patient's information through highly mobile nodes. LATR is different from the other existing routing protocols as it uses the MOPR (Movement Prediction Routing) algorithm and the priority-based data transfer at free cost. The ambulance is considered to be a node which is capable of sending a patient's data to a hospital and a data response can also be sent through the intermediate nodes. The mobility of the nodes are considered to be high and the data transfer is based on the direction of the vehicles. That is, the MOPR algorithm will check the movement or direction of next node prior to data transfer.
