The department of Commerce and Management, School of Arts and Sciences, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Kochi campus, celebrated “Management Day” on February 29, 2016. The day was named “Spandanam 2016”. The event was the effort of the enthusiasm shown by the First Year BBA students to celebrate the Management Day.
The formal inaugural ceremony was preceded by a short documentary on Legends of Management, prepared by the students of BBA 2nd semester. The event was inaugurated by the distinguished Chief Guest, Sri. V. George Antony, Managing Director, UAE Exchange Financial Services Ltd. Dr. U Krishnakumar delivered the welcome address and Sri. P Balasubramanian proposed the Vote of Thanks. The function was followed by a technical session by the Guest of Honour, Dr. Ashok Cherian Koshy, Public Relation Officer, UAE Exchange Financial Services Ltd. A quiz competition named ‘JITNASA’ and “A BEST INNOVATION” competition was also conducted. The events were judged by Dr. M.V. Sreedharan, Senior Faculty of the department. Dr. Vivek Menon, Associate Professor, Amrita School of Business, Kochi delivered the Valedictory Address and distributed prizes. Management exhibition showcased various themes related to Management.
