School of Business Student Proceed to Poland for Master Exchange Program

Mathew Kizhakethil John, MBA student at Amrita School of Business, Kochi Campus, specializing in Marketing and Human Resources, has been awarded a scholarship under the Erasmus Mundus Action 2, Strand 1(EMA2). He will proceed to the University of Warsaw, Poland for the Master Exchange level (MBA) for 6 months. Mathew will spend time at Poland from October 1, 2014.

The Erasmus Mundus Action 2 (EMA2) aims at better understanding and mutual enrichment between the European Union and third countries by co-operation in the field of higher education. It promotes exchanges of persons (students, academic and administrative staff), knowledge and skills at higher education level. NAMASTE is a EMA2 project. NAMASTE mobility project provides scholarships to Indian students and scientists to spend a mobility period in Europe on a wide variety of academic fields at different levels of study such as undergraduate, master, PhD, Post-Doc and staff. The scholarships cover subsistence allowances, travel costs, tuition fees and insurance costs.

The selection committee meeting was held at the Assam University, Silchar, Assam, India from May 12 – 13, 2014. Mathew gets shortlisted from 827 applications received for the first call for applications.
