Dr. José Soeiro Ferreira, a professor in the Department of Industrial Engineering and Management at the University of Portugal visited Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham’s Coimbatore campus, on April 30, 2017. A set of lectures, seminars and short courses for staff and students were conducted in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and in the Amrita School of Business, Coimbatore.” I keep very good memories of my stay at the pleasant Amrita campus. I was extremely well received, in both the Mechanical Department and the Business School. The contacts and the discussions with the faculty members were very fruitful; also, I was very pleased to give seminars and lectures and to directly contact with postgraduate students. I really hope that my visit will result in future collaborations and exchanges of researchers and students. I am sure that the planned Agenda has been completely fulfilled,” said Dr. José Soeiro Ferreira.
