The students of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbarore Campus, harvested the organic crops that were planted on September 27, 2017, in relation to the birthday celebrations of Amrita Chancellor, Sri Mata Amritanandamayi Devi (Amma). 

The students had planted ten different variety of vegetable plants. Till now they have harvested nearly 500 kilos of vegetables. The students and faculty members have decided to extend the organic farming to larger area. 

“At the time of harvesting, we felt happy. It was a good feeling because it is our own grown fruits and vegetables,” shared one of the students.
