The three Materials Research Societies (MRS-India, MRS-Singapore and MRS-China) together conduct trilateral annual meetings, with participation from all key stakeholders.

The first such meeting was organized in Singapore last year. This year, it was China’s turn to host. Next year, the meeting will be organized in India.

Accompanying top Indian scientists, Dr. Shantikumar V. Nair, Dean of Research, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, traveled to China earlier this month to participate in the MRS Trilateral Conference.

Addressing the healthcare component, Dr. Shantikumar spoke on Multifunctional Protein Nanomedicines and Multi-Tiered Drug Delivery Nanosystems.

Delegates included six distinguished scientists from different universities and research organizations in India, eleven from Singapore from the National University of Singapore and National Technological University and sixteen from China, all of whom presented their work.

Invited talks were followed by a session wherein scientists discussed how collaborations between the three countries could be enhanced.
