In a colloquium held at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham’s Bengaluru campus, on October 22, 2016, Mr. Kathirmani Sukumar of Gramener – A Data Visualization Company, interacted with students of Amrita School of Business, Bengaluru.
It was a great relief to the 1st year MBA students, when he started that students with a non-engineering background, who have passion for data, can also show interest in Big Data & Analytics. A passion to identify the problem and solve it through analysis is the key to success to any organization.
A few live programming examples were followed by interesting practical case studies like One Day Cricket statistics, advertisements on TVs through TRP ratings, the PMO’s Swatch Bharath schemes. The session was an eye opener on how various issues, problems and challenges can resolved scientifically through data and information. An informal, one to one chat over tea was an added bonus for the students.
