Fundamentals in Health Research course was offered for the first year postgraduate students and PhD scholars of Amrita School of Dentistry. Due to Covid-19 circumstances, the course was offered online through Zoom platform. This FHR was designed to improve the knowledge of health research methodology and acquire the fundamental skills necessary to successfully initiate, carry out, and complete a research study in the postgraduate course. The Fundamentals of Health Research course provided with the opportunity to connect with health professionals across a variety of disciplines and develop knowledge and skills that are needed to effectively complete research studies in their field.
The course was organized by the Department of Public Heath Dentistry, Amrita School of Dentistry. A total of 45 session across three modules (Research Methodology, Research Ethics and Integrity, and Basic Biostatistics) were taken during the two-month period from 03/08/2020 to 09/10/2020. A total of 35 participants completed the course. All participants received a course completion certificate and the toppers were honoured.
