A Faculty Development Program (FDP) was conducted at School of Arts and Sciences, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Kochi campus, from May 25-30, 2016, with the theme, “Effective Teaching and Non-violent Communication with Students”.

The resource persons were Professional Freelance Trainers Dr. K.K. Jayan, Smt. Ranjitha Jeurkar, Smt. Dayalakshmi. Dr. N. P. Hafiz Mohamad, Professor of Sociology, University of Calicut, also conducted a session. A detailed survey was conducted among the faculty members on their perceptions of teaching effectiveness. The program was attended by the faculty members.
