A two day seminar, Pulmonology Primer, was organized by the Department of Pulmonary Medicine, Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Kochi, for young pulmonologists during February 10 – 11, 2017. The function was inaugurated by Dr. Prathapan Nair, Principal, Amrita School of Medicine.
Eminent national and international faculty such as Dr. P. T. James, Head, Pulmonary Medicine, Amrita Hospital; Dr Arvind Perathur, Clinical Head, Pulmonary Medicine, Amrita Hospital; Dr. K. P. Ravikrishnan, Emeritus Professor, William Beaumont School of Medicine, USA; Dr. Randeep Guleria, Head, Pulmonary Medicine, AIIMS, Delhi; and Dr. Davis Paul, Head, Govt. Medical College, Thrissur delivered the lecture series and practical sessions. Sleep medicine, COPD, asthma, non-invasive ventilation, lung transplantation, CT chest and tuberculosis were discussed at the conference.
