Chairman of International Nano Technology NGO Visits Amrita

Dr. Millind Pimprikar, founder and chairman of CANEUS (Canada, Europe, US), an international organization that fosters the development of Micro-Nano-Technologies (MNT) for aerospace and defense applications, headquartered in Montreal (Canada),visited the Amritapuri and Kochi campuses of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham from December 3rd – 4th, 2015. In his two day visit to Amrita, Dr. Pimprikar met with various professors and directors of research representing leading Amrita centers such as AMMACHI Labs, the Center for Cyber Security Systems and Networks, the Center for Research in Advanced Technologies for Education (CREATE), the Center for Nano Sciences and Molecular Medicine, the Center for Wireless Networks and Applications (Amrita WNA), and the Center of Excellence in Advanced Materials and Green Technologies. Dr. Pimprikar also visited three research labs – WINSOC,  CREATE, and Fluid Mechanics – and gave two talks, one titled, “Leveraging International Partnerships for the Development and Implementation of Key Emerging Technologies” and the other on entrepreneurship at the Amrita School of Business, Amritapuri campus.
