The Department of Physical Education, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri Campus, conducted Inter Amrita Power Lifting Championship 2017-18, from 29th to 30th October, 2017.
Teams from all the five campuses of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham- Coimbatore Campus, Amritapuri Campus, Mysuru Campus, Bengaluru Campus and Kochi Campus participated in the event. The Amritapuri Power Lifting Team (M) were the winners of the event.

I thank Br Sudeepji, Director, Amritapuri Campus, for giving permission to organize such an event here in our campus. Thanks to sports council members for the support and guidance, accounts department for the financial support, event management team under the able leadership of Mr. Ranjith K. R., guest room people for providing good hygienic food for the participants and other related members, Dypt. Chief warden and all the concerned wardens for providing accommodation. A special thanks to Br Murali Swami, electrical section for providing world class lighting facility at the venue, a special mention to Mr Roopesh. Thanks to ICTS Department for providing sound and computer related facility, car pool people for providing transport facility to the participants, graphic department for designing the flex and posters and the general administration team. Last, but not least, my own department staff members Mr.Bijeesh C, Mr.Ratheesh P M, Mr.Sanal for their hard work and dedication,” said Mr. Krishnakumar S, Chairperson, Physical Education, Amritapuri.
