In the recently concluded 76th IAPM (Indian Association of Pathologists and Microbiologists) Kerala Chapter Meeting, held on February 13, 2016 at Trivandrum Medical College, two out of the three prizes for the case and poster presentations were bagged by postgraduate students at the Department of Pathology, Amrita School of Medicine, Kochi.
A total of 18 cases from different medical colleges were presented in the slide seminar on Head & Neck Lesions, of which Dr. Krishna, final year DCP student, bagged “Best Case Presentation Award” for the excellent presentation on “Phosphaturic Mesenchymal Tumor of the Maxilla” and the Best Poster Award was bagged by Dr. Athulya Sadeesh, second-year MD resident, for her poster titled “Sarcoidosis – Renal Manifestation.”
