Amrita School of Business, Coimbatore Organized B-fest Pragati 2016

Amrita School of Business, Coimbatore organized Pragati 2016, its 18th national level annual b-fest at the campus on January 23rd and 24th, 2016. The fest emphasized the ‘eco-friendly’ messages of its Chancellor Sri Mata Amritanandamayi and focused on the theme ‘BUSINESS IN GREEN’.

Pragati created a platform for aspiring business leaders to showcase their talents in different fields of management such as marketing, finance, HR and operations. The b-fest attracted students from top-tier management colleges across the country. The program was an educative and exciting experience for all, with a variety of games and a cultural night, spanning all disciplines of management.

The event started with an inauguration function by A. Rathinaswamy, Founder Director, Thyrocare Group of Companies. Additionally, two women entrepreneurs, Kavitha Lesley and Nirmala Richard, Founder of Chai’s, Coimbatore were present.

In the inaugural function, Mr. Rathinaswamy spoke about how proper business strategies help to deliver quality services at affordable cost. “Quality is affordable. Thyrocare has proved how high-quality diagnostics can be provided at low-cost. It follows a unique business model, a centralized and automated facility,” he said.

“For the centralized testing facility to work efficiently, Thyrocare worked on its logistics system. The company provides reports within 24 hours. At Thyrocare, the cost of collecting a specimen at any part of the country and to deliver it to its advanced laboratory in Mumbai by air-cargo would be as little as 30 paise,” he elucidated.
