The 13th International Conference on Internet and Multimedia Systems and Applications (IMSA 2009) will be in Honolulu in Hawaii in August 2009; the conference theme is Human Centered Multimedia Computing. Our Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Venkat Rangan, who has several multimedia patents including the very first ones in video-on-demand and video caching servers, has been invited to offer a workshop or a tutorial in the conference. The conference is sponsored by the International Association of Science and Technology for Development (IASTED).

Prashant NairPrashant Nair, Vice-Chair of the Department of Information Technology at the School of Engineering, Coimbatore has been nominated as member of the International Program Committee for Software Engineering for Ubiquitous Computing Workshop (SEUC 09). The workshop will be conducted as part of the 2009 World Congress in Computer Science, Engg and Applied Computing (WORLDCOMP 09), in Las Vegas, USA in July 2009.

Also part of the World Congress (WORLDCOMP 09) will be the 2009 International Conference on Wireless Networks (ICWN 09). The following research papers from Amrita have been accepted for presentation at the conference.
