Job Title Jr. Lab Administrators/Assistants

Qualification Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Alternatively, a diploma in IT or networking may be acceptable.
Job Description

  1. Manage the computing infrastructure provisioned in a computer lab Schedule and provision lab time tables in consultation with the faculty or time table coordinators from academic departments.

  2. Ensure that the necessary software is installed on all devices as per the requirements from the faculty or academic departments.

  3. Provide IT support to students including Level 1 support for WiFi connectivity issues, printing of documents and access to network services on the desktops.

  4. Ensure that the students conduct themselves in a diligent manner and report any misconduct to the appropriate authorities in writing.

  5. Provide IT support to non-academic departments as and when requested and approved by the Head – ICTS. Ensure the physical and logical security of all eqipment installed in the labs.

  6. Ensure complainance to all mandatory provisions of statutory bodies (AICTE, UGC, NAAC, etc.). Maintain updated stock of all the assets in the lab 
Technical Skills

  1. Basic knowledge of Windows and Linux systems.

  2. Understanding of file systems, user permissions, and OS installation/configuration.

  3. Familiarity with basic networking concepts (IP addresses, DHCP)
