Applications are invited from qualified candidates for the post of Consultant (Scientific Technical, Medical/ Non-Medical) for 3 years to be filled on a contractual basis for working on the “NHRP – ICMR project Digital Technologies for optimizing the continuum of CARE for Diabetes and Hypertension Management in Public Health Care System in India – DIGI-Care – Multicentric Study” at Ernakulam.

Job Description

  • Manage & coordinate multi-centric field studies.

  • Overall management of the project and other staff.

  • Convene meetings and write minutes, coordinating with sites and research institutes in consultation with Project PI.

  • Independently initiate and handle public health research data.

  • Reporting, documentation of research, coordination with health system.

  • Perform any other tasks assigned by the competent authority or the PI of the Project.

  • Tenure for 11 months, extendable up to 3 years based on performance.

  • Place of work: AIMS, Kochi India

  • The position requires local travel within the Ernakulum district and other sites in India.
Qualifications Essential Qualifications:

  • MBBS /BDS with a Master’s Degree in Public Health/MD (Community Medicine)

  • Three to five years of work experience.


Desirable Qualification: PhD in Public Health related subjects
Experience

  • Experience in project management. 

  • Proficient knowledge in epidemiological studies (experience in NCD research is desirable).

  • Knowledge of interventional /Implementation research

  • Experience in conducting population studies, planning, and executing community studies, and intervention studies in the field of Public Health. 

  • Knowledge of qualitative research and experience in conducting Focus Group Discussions (FGDs), In-Depth Interviews (IDIs), Key Informant Interviews (KIIs), etc.

  • Proficiency in Malayalam Language is essential.

  • 10 original research publications. 

  • Age Limit: Upper age limits up to 40 years (maybe relaxed). 

  • Proficiency in computer applications, data management, report writing, data mining, and working with databases.
Salary Up to 100000 pm Depending on the Experience
