Bio

Dr. Rajlakshmi Kanjilal received her Ph.D. degree in Visual Media and Communication from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Kochi, India, in 2021. She received her M.F.A. degree in Animation and Content Management from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Kochi, in 2017. She received a Post Graduate Diploma in Journalism and a B.A. in Mass Communication from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore, India in 2012 and 2011, respectively.

Currently, she is working towards earning a Diploma in Learning Disability from Azim Premji University, Bengaluru. She serves as Project Manager (Media & Content) at Amrita CREATE, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri. She has extensive experience working with multidisciplinary teams and specialists in the fields of medicine, education, and computing and as an alternative academic (alt-ac). Her research interests include Neurodiversity, HCI, Animal Studies, Communication for Social Change, and Learning Experience Design (LX). Additionally, she is a part of the AI and Disability Studies research TAG.
