Bio

Dr. Lakshmanan S. A. currently serves as an Assistant Professor (Sr. Gr.) in the Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Amrita School of Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore campus, India.

Dr. Lakshmanan S. A. completed his BE in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from University of Madras in 2003 and ME in Power Electronics & Drives from College of Engineering Guindy, Anna University, Chennai, in 2007. He has 7.5 years of teaching and 5 years of research experience in his career. Before pursuing his Ph.D., he worked as an Assistant Professor at Amrita School of Engineering, Coimbatore, and also worked as Assistant Professor at VIT University, Vellore.

Dr. Lakshmanan S. A. received his Ph. D. from Indian Institute of Technology, Mandi, in the area of Power Electronics. He also served as Senior Research Fellow (SRF) at Central Power Research Institute (CPRI) Bangalore and has worked on various research projects. After his Ph. D., he worked as Sr Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering at Madanapalle Institute of Technology & Science (MITS), Madanapalle, from August 2017 to July 2020.

Dr. Lakshmanan S. A. has published many research papers in journals and conferences and also has rich experience in curriculum development, enhancement of new research labs and different accreditation processes.
