Bio

Dr.N.TharaniDevi, has joined Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeethamin the year 2014. She obtained her M.sc in food Science and Nutrition in the year 2002 and awarded with Ph. D. from Avinashilingam Institute of Home Science and Higher Education for Women, Coimbatore, in 2014.

Her area of research includes community nutrition, intervention studies for specific nutritional deficiencies and disorders, Nutrient Analysis, Food product formulation, Food safety and quality analysis, Food processing and preservation, Nutrition Education, Pre- and post-natal nutrition etc., Her area of interest also spreads to recording of Traditional and ethnic nutritional practices in South India, Survey on Ethnic nutritional practices for postnatal women in India, Value addition and formulation of foods with locally available resources, Analysis on phytonutrients in various greens, weeds and plants selected.
