Bio

Dr. Vigneshwar Bhat currently serves as Assistant Professor in Amrita Darshanam (International Centre for Spiritual Studies), Amrita School of Arts and Sciences in Mysuru campus. He obtained his M. A. in Poorvameemamsa Vidwat Uttama with gold medal in 2013 and B.A. in Poorvameemamsa Vidwat Madhyama in 2011 from Maharaja Sanskrit College Mysore. He also obtained M.A. in Sahitya Acharya from Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha Tirupati in 2011. He is qualified in UGC National Eligibility Test (NET). He studied śauta, Smārta, Tāntrik and Paurāṇik rituals in Gurukula system. He completed his PhD on Karma Meemamsa at Karnataka Sanskrit University. He has a keen interest in expanding Indian traditional culture throughout the world and conducting scientific research on Indian scriptures to reveal their effectiveness.

He is also working as Assistant Professor at the Department of Languages, School of Arts and Sciences, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Mysuru and Assistant Professor in Amrita School of Education, Mysuru.
