Bio

Amrutha Vijayakumar is currently working as a Junior Research Fellow for the Gates foundation– DBT funded project at the Sanitation Biotechnology Lab, Amrita School of Biotechnology. She is a Post Graduate in Biotechnology from Amrita school of Biotechnology, Amritapuri. She developed an interest on “Chitin synthase inhibitors from plant sources against protists and helminths.

The project entitled Chitin synthase Inhibitors from Plant sources and their action on chitin/ chitin-like cell walled microorganisms”  was carried out under the Guidance of M. Ajith Madhavan, Amrita School of Biotechnology.
