The following information is provided to enable parents of prospective candidates to have a clear understanding of the conditions of admission for the academic year 2008 - ’09. Parents who come to meet the Admission Co-ordinator (NRI) should bring with them the 10th mark sheet of the candidate compulsorily. If available, they should also bring the 11th/ 12th mark sheet.

Engineering Courses

Amrita Schools of Engineering

B.Tech. (Bachelor of Technology)
Eligibility :
Candidates should obtain an aggregate of minimum 70% marks in Maths, Physics & Chemistry with not less than 65% in Mathematics, in their +2/ Higher Secondary from any state higher secondary board, CBSE/ ISCE or equivalent.

Age should not exceed 21 years as on 01st July, of the year of admission.

Amrita Entrance Examination – Engineering 2008.
All candidates are required to appear in the entrance examination conducted in the year of admission.

How to obtain application form:
Application form can be obtained in person or by post from Centre for Corporate Relations, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Ettimadai (P.O), Coimbatore 641 105. Tamil Nadu on payment of Rs.1000/- or by draft. Draft should be in favour of “Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amrita School of Engineering”, payable at Coimbatore.

Eligibility:
Graduation in any discipline with mathematics or statistics as one of the subjects. Should obtain an aggregate of minimum 60% marks in the degree examination.

Entrance Examination:

Health Care courses

MBBS, BDS, BAMS
Eligibility:
MBBS
Candidates should obtain an aggregate of minimum 80% marks in Biology/ Physics/ Chemistry with not less than 75% in Biology, in +2 (State Board / CBSE / ISCE) examination.

BDS
Candidates should obtain an aggregate of minimum 75% marks in Biology Physics/ Chemistry with not less than 70% in Biology, in +2 (State Board / CBSE / ISCE) examination.

BAMS
Candidates should obtain an aggregate of minimum 70% marks in Biology/ Physics/ Chemistry with not less than 70% in Biology, in +2 (State Board / CBSE / ISCE) examination.

NRI/ PIO/ Foreign nationals who have studied +2 in an institution outside India (not under CBSE/ ISCE / State Board of India) should have passed Physics, Chemistry & Biology in 11th/ 12th year preferably with ‘A’ grade. Such candidate should also get an Equivalence Certificate, for pursuing MBBS/BDS/BAMS course in Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, from the Association of Indian Universities, AIU House, 16, Comd.
